Here are some fun pictures and a few things we have been up to this month.

We went to the Neola parade over the 4th weekend. There were lots of vintage tractors and other farm equipment. And tons of candy. We were at the start of the parade so everyone was very giving of their candy. In fact Gage is still carring around some in his backpack. His shirt says "Mr. Independent" very fitting.


Both Ava and Gage have Lambert feet - fat and flat. I tried putting on this sandle today and had a hard time pushing her foot into it. She doesn't have Cinderella feet. These sandles are now dirt brown too because she got in the mud again. BTW her official walking day is July 21, 2008 (happy birthday Kristi). She walked more than she crawed that day. Now she almost doesn't crawl at all. My little girl is growing up! She still gives me good hugs though.

I went in to check on Gage and couldn't find him. I checked the fort, bed and floor. Then I saw him burried in his toy box. Notice the sweat ring around his head.

I took Gage and Ava to the ward camp out. (Lance was at Scout Camp). They thought the tent was the coolest! Gage was saying, "Mom, I'm tired take me to bed." only to be up another hour running around in the tent.

My New Grocery Getter

This is how I travel...... Roll'n P.I.M.P. in my Denali - it's loaded - yah those are 20's. Lance spoils me. Plus he was pretty tickled to be the winning bidder on EBay. He was jealous about my girl's trip to Sacramento a few months ago, so he decided it would be fun to fly out to Sac Town to pick it up and drive it home (all in one day - 13hrs - no thanks). No stop at the Jelly Belly factory for him or a visit with Natalie & Jeremy - too bad. It was time for me to say goodbye to my Saab and say hello to a 7-seater.

Going to Work

The family loaded up in the work truck and went to work with Lance. Today he had to go to Peter's Point. It is a 3hr drive on a dirt road. I had whip-lash, but now when he points to the horizon and says I was on those mountains, I know what he is talking about. Part of the drive is through 9 mile canyon, where lots of Indian art is found on the canyon walls. It was beautiful. The red cliffs and green valley with a river. It is strange seeing all the big diesel trucks going down these narrow bumpy roads, very out of place.

The Salt Shaker

I wish I knew the story behind the picture.....anybody? My dad said there is some art in this canyon that shows where Ammon cut off the arms of the guys stealing the sheep (Book of Mormon story).

We drove up a steep dugway to get to the top of a mountain. You have to get on the CB to check if anyone else is coming up/down, because it is only wide enough for one vehicle. There were little flies everywhere. They would land on your face and pester you. I ate two and had one go up my nose. Gross.

Thanks for the Music!

I would just like to thank all my friends who take the time to post good music on their blog. I usually keep it playing while I am doing other things on the computer or around the house. Plus I haven't taken the time to add music to my blog.

I just got back inside from watering plants with the hose for the last hour. I will probably be covered in itchy cream tomorrow from all the mosquitoes.

Sunday Sunday Sunday

Sunday was Testimony meeting at church. Gage's friend Zander got up to bear his testimony, so Gage thought he could do it too. So after asking Lance and I over and over, I decided to take him up to the pulpit. Well, we make the walk up there, but Gage left his voice somewhere along the way, he didn't want to talk. So I sat down on the stage with him. Then Gage's friend Gavin came up all by himself (his dad is on the stage), but he couldn't talk either. Well, Gage thought this was all pretty funny and had to laugh - which was pretty loud. Then he started going up and down the stairs, so I left him and went to take my seat, he followed soon after. It was embarrassing, but now it is a pretty funny story.

Boating

We love the water! We can't get enough. The other day we went to the lake in the morning then to the pool after lunch. Oh, by the way, the Roosevelt pool is like the old PG pool or the pool in Sandlot. It is a vintage pool. Gage and Ava both like riding on the tubes and hanging out in the boat. Lance and Desiree slalom ski most of the time.

Tumbling

Gage is in a tumbling class this summer. He loves it! Here is a video of him doing the froggy jump. He will also be in the parade. So cute.....

Here is my lilac row. I planted them last year and finished up with the edging and bark this summer. Hopefully they will be a nice wind break in a few years.
