Smart Festival!

This morning we went to a fun Earth Day event for the kids. Here is a picture of Gage playing in a fort. Gage made sidewalk chalk, kilidoscope, hat, dug for dinosaurs, got a book, hat, ball, pea necklace, ate some dirt, planted some grass & trees, and pledged not to litter. He also loved the boy playing the drums. He kept stopping what he was doing to watch him play. Then we came home and planted peas and carrots in our little garden. I started a square foot garden.
Ava is getting in two top teeth.
Some funny things Gage says: Hi Lance! Is the sun going up or down?
Some funny things Gage does: Puts in ear plugs when he has a monster truck show. Covered his cars with stickers then he will get the tape out and tape them all together. Made a construction site out of his dinner with his hands being the cranes and diggers.
(Thanks for the picture tip Carrie, had to come home and try it out)

Camping at Red Fleet

We decided it was time to go camping (April 18). We went to Red Fleet which is on the way to Flaming Gorge. It is really pretty up there. You get part Uintas and part red rock. We did a hike out to find some dinosaur tracks which was really fun. Gage walked all the way in and back. We even found a beaver family. Max thought he could swim after them. We are lucky enough to have a 7-11 in Vernal so we treated ourselves to Slurpees (one thing we have that S. Utah doesn't)

The Sisters Visit

Kristi, Alena and Laura came up for a visit. We went to town to have dinner at Marions, a local diner. We jammed to E=MC2. And watched Rob & Big. Good Times!

Kitchen Helpers?

So Ava likes to pick out her spoons, cups, bowls, whatever.

Gage like to get gum and suckers. He will say, "No Des, let me."

Happy Easter

Gage was coloring Easter Eggs when he reached in the dye to pull out an egg. He had an Incredible Hulk Hogan hand for awile. The Easter Bunny left eggs in our back yard.

The Easter Bunny also visited us at Grandma's in St. George.
Here is all the cousins. They sure had tons of fun playing together. Gage, Kira, Tayiah, Jackson and Ava.

Burned Lance

Our poor Lancey-poo ran into some bad luck - again. Lance was lighting the burner box on his hot oil truck when it flash fired him. Just think of lighting your BBQ grill when there is extra propane in the air.

He had an ambulance ride to the hospital and spent three days in bed there. He had 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face, eyes, and right arm.

Lance had a lot of debris in his eyes so in the ER they flushed them with a liter of water. Also notice the bleached afro he has. That is his hair singed.

The doctors put numbing eye drops in his eyes so he could open them for an evaluation.

The second day in the hospital Lance's eyes were swollen shut. This picture is the third day in the hospital. Some of the swelling has gone down.

It is so amazing how the body can heal itself. We took pictures in the morning and night, and it is crazy how much chage there is in 12 hrs. It has been two weeks and Lance is just about back to normal. His skin peeled like a sunburn leaving new prefect skin. He is still having some trouble with his right eye, but that should heal up too.

Sweet Babies

Gage and Ava are growing up so fast! Ava loves to ride around the house on "Cool Car". She is 10 months already. Gage is a great brother and loves to help out. He was outside driving his cars in the mud the other day.
This is a picture of Gage and his "twin" Ben. They even acted alike. Ben is my cousin's boy and this was the first time we saw him. So cute!
