Cuties!

These were too cute not to share! Ava can now sit up in the big kid chair at the bar and Gage is playing with his soap dinosaurs we made and his Coco Roos. Oh and Gage's favorite song now is "Party Like a Rock Star" T T T Totally Dude!

Gage & Ava meet the Clause's

They don't like strangers!

Oh Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas decorations this week. Gage did a great job hanging ornaments on the tree. Ava loves looking at the lights. It makes our house so Christmas-ey. Thanks for the tree Grandma Lambert!

Winter Wonderland

Gage and I went sledding today and made snow angels. I bet we have 2ft of snow and it is still snowing! It is beautiful.

Sandwich Cookies

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

If you like Oreo cookies you will double love these cookies! They taste wonderful and really easy to make.

INGREDIENTS
2 (18.25 ounce) packages devil's food cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup shortening

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Blend the above ingredients together with a pastry blender until mixed.
Roll in balls about the size of a quarter and place on ungreased baking sheets. Make an even number of balls.
Bake for 10 minutes. Let cookies stand on cookie sheet for 5-6 minutes before removing them to cooling rack. After cookies have cooled, put Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipe or use one can of pre-made frosting) between two cookies, putting bottom sides together.

NOTE: Adding chopped pecans to the cookies without making them into sandwiches is also very good. Spice cake mix can be used in place of Devil's food.

Cream Cheese Frosting
INGREDIENTS
6 tablespoons cream cheese
1/3 cup butter, softened
1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and spread on cooled bars or cookies

Gage's World

Mom, Ava and I went to church last week for 20 minutes then came home because all I wanted to do was run from Mom and play in the bathroom - I can go potty by myself now. That's Mom and me at Strawberry Res. We went camping there, it was a pretty morning and cold. I also went to the Gageway, this is my friend Little Bear. We met some nice firemen that let me take a climb in their fire truck, I loved it! See you later Alligator!

Ava the Babe

Hi friends! I am now 5 1/2 months old and growing so fast! That's me sucking on my toe. I added sweet potatoes and bananas to my diet - yummy! I can sit up on my own, for a little bit. I like to look at books with my brother Gage and watch the sirens on his fire truck. Dad thinks I like watching football with him, but I really just like hanging out together. Grandma and Cody came for a visit this week. xoxo Ava

Happy Halloween!

I love candy! We went trunk-or-treating this year. It is hard to get all my candy going door-to-door because we live in the country, so I get more candy faster this way. I was a cowboy with Mom and Dad, and Ava was Tigger. Trick or Treat! Gage *

Corn Maize and Pumpkin Patch

Mom took Ava and I to the Monson Farm in Altamont Utah. I had so much fun. I went with my friends Elizabeth, Braiden, Brock, Parker, Gavin and Olivia. I had lots of fun on the silly slides, feeding the goats, playing in the corn barn, getting lost in the corn maze and riding the tractor wagon to the pumpkin patch. My pumpkin went down the slide so fast that the stem broke off! Later Alligator :) Gage

Yum Yum Rice Cereal

Ava's first attempt at eating rice cereal! I would spoon the food in and watch it come right out again. Gage would laugh when the food got all over. I think she liked it.

What A Pretty Face!

This is just another bonus of working in the oil field. I was covered in oil from head to to toe.

There is my truck heating those blue tanks filled with water. Gage and Desiree came out to the oil well for a visit.
