C H I C K E N S

We now are the pround owners of 5 chickens! I never knew chickens would be so much fun.

This is sunshine - she is the friendliest. She loves to smile for the camera and runs to greet us when we come visit.

Meet Little Jerry Sienfield - he has a mohawk. Gage thinks Lil' Jerry is a Rooster.
Here is the Hen Spa. My awesome bro. Greg built it for us.

The kids love to get in the coop and play with the chickens. (Malia - want to join them?)

Gage and Sunshine.

Chicken names: Sunshine, Lil' Jerry Sienfield, Biggie Smalls, Martin, Shirlene
Gage watched these chickens hatch at his school. There were 26 in the batch. We should starting collecting fresh eggs this fall!

Spring Time

So wanted to do an update but if I add pictures it won't get done - sorry it is boring w/o photos. I would rather read everyone else's blog than update mine.... it is always funner to see what everyone else is up to.

I started working for the Census again this week. You might find me on your door step. I enjoy doing indexing and reading through all the old census records, trying to read their fancy cursive handwriting. Now we get to use standardized forms and CAPS.

Gage and Ava are happy the mud has almost dried up here. Ava runs outside after breakfast to get in a morning jump on the trampoline. Today she said, "Mom the tramp is sparkly" I said, "Yes, that is frost, everything is still frozen from the cold night air"

Kate is crawling and clicking her tounge - it is the cutest sound -

Lance can't wait to get behind the boat again - we all have spring fever. I couldn't take it anymore so last week when we had a warm day and lots of mud here, I packed up bags and left later that day to St. George. We spent a day hiking in the sun at Zions - just what I needed. But spent the next day stuck inside because it was raining - oh well. I have bad luck getting a good weather weekend at St. George - what are the odds?

Kate 6 Months

My sisters take awesome pictures of my kids. I needed Kate's 6 month pictures done, so they took 120 photos and I love them all! Blogger will only let me load 5, so here are some of my favorites.

Kate is such a sweetie! She is still petite and dainty. She loves playing with Gage and Ava. She is very happy and easy going. We love her so much! She is trying to crawl and get around but hasn't quite figured out how to get her legs going under her. She loves listening to mom's piano students and hitting on the keys. xoxo xoxo xoxo

The Alien & The Ninja

My kids LOVE to dress up. Thanks for the new costumes Greg! We are now learning Ninja moves so look out!

See our Christmas Tree...... Lance put the lights on - good job Lance. We found this prize tree up in the mountains here by our house. We took good care of our tree and it started getting new pine needles. Now it is standing in the snow outside our house. We love our tree!

Visiting Teaching

Need some motivation to get you going Visiting Teaching? Sometimes I do. At the first of each month Pioneer Party in Lehi, UT has a little gift and handout to go along with the monthly message.

Sometimes I buy what they have and get it mailed to me or I use their idea to get my mind thinking of something fun and creative I can do.

I love going visiting teaching and getting to know my sisters.

Gage's New Love

Meet Travis Pastrana..... That is what Gage named his Yamaha PW50.

We live in the perfect location for riding! He can hop on in the driveway and off he goes. I am so happy to be living in the "country"

The first time Gage rode the bike he didn't know how to stop and took off across the yard (good thing we have a big yard with lots of room) and Lance went chasing after him. It was pretty funny.

The next mornig he ate his breakfast as fast as he could to go out riding again.

His good bud Kaycee has a dirt bike track in his back yard, which is right next to our house. He loves to go over there and ride with the boys. He also likes to hit the jumps behind Cruise's house, also right next to our place.

If he has an audience he will ride by doing a trick like legs eagled out or the rock-on sign with his hands. He also loves riding wide-open down straight-aways.

I have a little dare devil on my hands.

The bike even has enough power to put-put mom around the yard. It is my new favorite way to go get the mail. I will throw Ava on with me and go cruise'n.
